SUMMARY

The Golf Course Superintendent is responsible for managing all agronomic aspects of Wedgewood Golf & Country Club and delivering championship playing conditions on a daily basis. The Superintendent will be a strong, energetic, highly communicative, detail-oriented team leader with a member-centric focus and the demonstrated ability to provide exceptional golf course conditioning. The Superintendent performs all duties necessary in the proper management and control of the golf course operations and turfgrass maintenance.

The club recently contracted with our original architect, Robert Trent Jones, II Architects to prepare a Master Modernization Plan, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2021. Our hopes are to begin construction in the fall of 2022. Current plans are to: rebuild all bunkers, shift/enlarge/rebuild select teeing grounds, enlarge driving range tees and create additional targets, selective tree removal/trimming, remove all bent grass in the rough, extend irrigation to all playable areas of the rough, replace all current sprinkler heads and install dual-directional heads around greens, reinforce greenside lakebanks, install additional closely mown areas around select greens, and make mild architectural updates to select holes. The ideal candidate can expect to oversee a significant reinvestment in the golf course early in their tenure at Wedgewood. The ideal candidate should be prepared to join our team by the end of 2021.
